Apple may have just revealed the name of its next big product.

Apple today uploaded a new regulatory document to its website for something called the MacBook Neo, alongside information about its newly announced MacBooks. After MacRumors reported on the upload, however, Apple removed the document. The Neo, model number A3404, is possibly the heavily rumored low-cost MacBook powered by an Apple mobile chipset.

It’s rare for Apple to leak its own details ahead of a reveal, but it happens from time to time. It’s not guaranteed that the device will be called the Neo, but we were expecting a cheaper MacBook today as part of Apple’s product drops. The company teased several days of announcements ahead of a March 4 “experience” with reporters. So, the “Neo” may be part of tomorrow’s event.

Previous rumors suggest the MacBook Neo may feature an iPhone chip to help keep the price low; it could be an A18 Pro or the A19 Pro from the iPhone 17 Pro. Leaks have also tipped a 12.9-inch display and colorful designs, including blue, green, pink, and yellow. Other reports say the price may be as low as $599, though some expect it to be $799.

This week, Apple has already introduced the iPhone 17e, a cheaper alternative to its flagship phones, and a new iPad Air with an M4 chip and 12GB of RAM. Today, we saw two new MacBook Air models alongside four new MacBook Pros, plus a refresh of the Studio Display professional monitor and a new Studio Display XDR that costs $3,299.
