Apple on Monday announced the launch of the eSIM Quick Transfer feature for the Chinese mainland market, bringing greater convenience to iPhone Air users when switching devices. With this new feature, users can activate eSIM on their device and then migrate their existing eSIM profiles to a new iPhone directly through system settings, without having to visit a carrier service center. Currently, the feature is only supported on the mainland China version (model A3518) of the iPhone Air, and each device can activate up to two eSIMs from Chinese carriers. While overseas models support more than eight eSIMs, this update still marks a major improvement in the device-switching experience for users in China. [TechNode reporting]
