‘Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical’ premieres on August 15
As part of an ongoing deal with Peanuts Worldwide and WildBrain, Apple TV+ remains the exclusive streaming home for all Peanuts content, including the upcoming ‘Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical,’ which is set to premiere on August 15.
Here’s Apple on what to expect:
“One morning, the Peanuts gang learns that their beloved camp is shutting down because fewer campers are joining each summer. The news especially saddens Charlie Brown, who feels hopeless about losing a place that has meant so much to him and his friends and is determined to preserve its legacy. Meanwhile, on their adventure, Snoopy and Woodstock find the sought-after treasure chest, but are quickly disappointed when they discover it’s not riches, but instruments and photos from past summer concerts held at the camp. Newly inspired, Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang use the treasure to host their own concert to save the camp.”
Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical features original songs by Emmy-nominated composer Jeff Morrow (The Little Mermaid), Broadway veterans Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, and singer-songwriter Ben Folds. Some of the original tracks include When We Were Light, Look Up, Charlie Brown, and Leave It Better by Folds, and Best Time Ever and A Place Like This by Morrow, Zachary, and Weiner.
The special is produced by Peanuts and WildBrain, directed by Erik Wiese (Sonic Prime), and written by Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano.
Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical premieres globally on Apple TV+ Friday, August 15.
Apple TV+ is available for $9.99 per month and features hit TV shows and movies like Ted Lasso, Severance, The Studio, The Morning Show, Shrinking and Silo.
