Apple released iOS 26.3.1 for the iPhone on Wednesday — a small patch that arrives a few weeks after the rollout of iOS 26.3, focusing mainly on fixes and under-the-hood improvements. The update is available right now to download for supported iPhones through the Settings app (General > Software Update).
According to Apple’s release notes, iOS 26.3.1 adds support for the company’s pricey new Studio Display and Studio Display XDR monitors, along with general bug fixes and system improvements. It didn’t outline any major new user-facing features, which is typical for an update like this that’s meant more to stabilize the previous release.
The update follows iOS 26.3, which arrived in February and introduced a handful of small additions, including tools designed to make switching from an iPhone to an Android device easier, as well as privacy tweaks and other ecosystem changes. Much of that release focused on security patches and behind-the-scenes improvements rather than big, visible features.
Apple is also continuing development on the next update in the cycle. iOS 26.4 is currently in developer beta, where Apple is testing new features (AI-generated playlists in Apple Music, encrypted RCS messaging) and refinements ahead of a broader release later this spring. The third developer beta of iOS 26.4 is available now, though installing it means dealing with the usual developer beta caveats, like bugs, crashes and app instability.
