Ahead of the January 2026 ISO refresh for Arch Linux, Archinstall 3.0.15 released today as the newest update to this convenient text-based OS installer.
Archinstall 3.0.15 is out today with several new options for enhancing the Arch Linux installation experience. From Archinstall you can now opt for the CUPS print server installation, support is added for booting with the rEFInd boot manager, enabling the Intel IWD wireless daemon as a supported network back-end selection, and support for the Power Profiles Daemon or Tuned as a power management daemon for the new system installation.
The updated Arch Linux installer also adds the COSMIC desktop as an option. Previously Archinstall did support COSMIC but only if using the “–advanced” flag when launching Archinstall.
Some of the other Arch Linux installer improvements for ending out 2025 include setting up Zram dynamically, changing the LVM root size to adapt dynamically, explicitly allow selecting any additional repository, and a variety of other bug fixes and improvements.
