This week the 33rd edition of the ASLAN 2026 Congress was presented in a meeting with the media. During the event, the main lines of this 33rd edition were announced, in which Artificial Intelligence takes on enormous prominence and in which the attendee experience has been redesigned as a journey from challenges, vision and trends to business solutions. Furthermore, from the @aslan Association they emphasize that «We live in times of great change. The current technological and geopolitical contexts have placed digital innovation and cybersecurity at the center of business strategy. The @aslan Association has become a strategic platform where the industry, organizations of all sizes and institutions meet to face the current challenges of transformation, cyber resilience and competitiveness» in which technology plays a fundamental role and that is why they have promoted a series of lines of action to go beyond technical profiles and strengthen their contact with the Boards of Directors.
The fundamental details of the appointment
The @aslan Association will celebrate the days March 17, 18 and 19, 2026 he Congreso & EXPO ASLAN2026 at the Madrid Congress Palace, under the motto «AI agents, resilience, digital assets…? We evolve.” The event expects to bring together 9,000 professional attendees over three days, with more than 200 speakers, 135 exhibiting companies and 57 sponsors, consolidating itself as the largest digital innovation and cybersecurity congress in Spain. The opening of the ASLAN2026 Congress & EXPO is scheduled to be attended by the Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Service, Óscar López.
Context and strategic relevance
The event arises at a time when technology has ceased to be a merely operational element and has become a strategic priority within organizations. The current technological and geopolitical contexts have elevated digital innovation and cybersecurity to the core of business planning. In this scenario, @aslan —which brings together 210 specialized manufacturers and suppliers— has positioned itself as a strategic meeting platform between industry, organizations of all sizes and public institutions.
Alberto Pascual, President of the @aslan Associationhighlights that “We are the most representative association of the technology sector in Spain because we cover all categories. Years ago there were some companies that were capable of delivering a complete solution to the customer. This is no longer the case, now it is necessary to do it in collaboration with others and specialize in specific areas of that ‘technological puzzle’. In this context, an association like @aslan, capable of establishing an environment of trust in which companies can carry out this collaborative work, becomes especially relevant.”.
Alberto Pascual highlights that @aslan’s function is “identify technological trends together with our partners, hold specialized forums in which we bring together both potential users of that technology and the ecosystem that can provide them with these solutions. We want to accompany both the private and public sectors in technological decisions”.
A tour designed to maximize value to the attendee
One of the main novelties of this edition is the conception of the congress as a “journey” structured in three complementary phases. In the first, attendees will have access to the vision of the top technology managers (CISO, CIO, CDO) of IBEX35 companies on the current business challenges. In the second phase, they will be able to participate in the Technological Trends Forums “Cybersecurity & AI” and “Digital Innovation & AI”, where the greatest experts in the sector will address present and future trends. Finally, the Expo Zone will allow you to learn in depth about the products and solutions of the 135 participating exhibitors, as well as the complete solutions that will be shown on the Stages.
The objective of this journey, as stated by the @aslan Association «is to provide high-value information, 100% aligned with the needs of attendees and totally practical so that they can make the most of their visit and can apply best practices and have the most up-to-date information immediately in their organizations.«.
Distribution of space and contents
The Conference Center hosts a program distributed by floors with clear thematic specialization. Floor 0 will be dedicated to Artificial Intelligence; floor 1 will host meetings with IBEX35 ICT managers and representatives of Public Administrations (as Iberdrola, Repsol, Santander, the Ministry of Defense or the Madrid City Council); Floor 2 will host the Trend Forums; and floor 3 will be dedicated to the EXPO, with thematic stages on cybersecurity, smart networks, digital workplace, cloud and data centers, and data resilience.
The contents are articulated around two central axes—digital innovation and cybersecurity— addressing areas such as artificial intelligence applied to IT infrastructures, data resilience, protection against digital threats, cloud and multi-cloud environments, technological sovereignty and digital workplace.
Santiago Campuzano, Cyber Resilience Spokesperson for @aslanhighlights “the comprehensive vision of Congress. Some attendees from last year mentioned that they had been to a very interesting public sector technology conference. They were right. But others told you that they had been in a meeting with the CIOs of the IBEX35 about technological trends. And it’s true, they were right too. And other attendees explained it as an exhibition of all the capabilities that the sector has. And it is also true. All of this happens at the ASLAN Congress & EXPO, but this year we wanted to unify it, and give it a global meaning. Create a journey during which the visitor goes through these different aspects because all of them can be tremendously inspiring for their activity. Whether from the public sector or from the private sector”.
Highlight innovation in the public sector
The event includes the IX Annual National Meeting of Technology Experts in Public Administration, a space dedicated to the specific technological challenges of local, regional and central administrations. The focus will be on the protection of critical infrastructure, the adoption of data-driven strategies and the impact of AI on public services. The day will close with the presentation of the 18th Public Administration Awards, which this year have received a record number of 83 projects submitted.
Technology reaches senior management
One of @aslan’s strategic objectives is to transfer the possibilities of emerging technologies to business decision-making bodies. In this edition, meetings will be held with ICT Directors and, as a novelty, the Technological DNA Awards will be presented, recognizing managers and organizations that have placed digitalization at the center of their business strategy. The inauguration will be attended by the Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Service, Óscar López, which reinforces the institutional weight of the event.
@aslan: 37 years promoting technological innovation
With 37 years of experience, @aslan brings together 210 national and multinational technology companies and reaches almost 100,000 professionals annually, of which 15,000 participate in in-person activities. Its annual agenda includes publication of reports, management training programs and specialized clubs. The ASLAN Congress & EXPO is the starting point of this calendar of activities, which will be followed throughout 2026 by specialized forums, meetings with decision-makers and spaces for public-private collaboration.
Adela de Toledo, AI and Data Spokesperson at @aslanemphasizes the unique position of the Association and Congress, “At @aslan we are all actors in the technological ecosystem, with great complementarity that allows us to cover all needs. And the annual Congress & EXPO is the meeting of the year where senior managers and the technology sector truly mix with decision-makers, both from the public and private sectors.”.
In short, ASLAN2026 is presented as the essential event of the year for digital transformation professionals, technology managers from the public and private sectors, consultants, integrators and providers of digital infrastructures who seek practical and high-value guidance in a technological environment of accelerated change.
After the Congress, specialized meetings with decision-makers, technological trends forums and public-private collaboration spaces for the continuous generation of knowledge will take place throughout 2026. The objective is to accompany organizations throughout the year to interpret technological challenges and identify real solutions.
