Assembled Inc., a unified platform for customer support orchestration powered by artificial intelligence, today announced the general availability of agentic AI schedule generation, allowing teams to eschew manual workforce management.
The company currently offers a modern AI experience for customer support by combining autonomous AI agents with workflow management, enabling teams to automate customer service. The platform supports chat, email and voice, providing AI-powered responses using AI tools.
The new team board, named Schedule Generation, fundamentally changes how workforce schedule creation happens, replacing manual, step-by-step assembly with an automated system that allows scaling, the company said.
“Most support teams are still trapped in spreadsheets, manually juggling schedules while trying to remember which country requires breaks every 3.5 hours versus four hours,” said Ryan Wang, co-founder and chief executive of Assembled.
Wang added that optimal schedule generation is an old problem in operations research. AI advances have permitted management to think further ahead and with less mental overhead. “The result: teams get time back to focus on higher leverage planning and strategic work,” he said.
The product adds a number of key opportunities, including optimization, automated compliance, infinite scaling, adding new scheduling without violating existing patterns.
According to Assembled, companies such as commercial service business ServiceTitan Inc., retailer Backcountry.com LLC and online learning platform Preply Inc. noted that they reduced scheduling time from weeks to minutes, while eliminating extensive use of Google Sheet workflows for staffing management.
“Other tools I’ve used would give you a file that was 30 tabs long,” said said Karekin Sarajian, workforce management analyst at ServiceTitan. “You had to do everything in Excel so they could upload it. And you still had to go back and fix it.”
A report from Stanford University in 2025 revealed what workers want from tools such as those built by Assembled isn’t full automation, but a partner rather than an overlord. Trust became a sticking point, with 45% becoming a majority doubt over the reliability of AI systems, while 23% feared job loss and 16% worried about a lack of human oversight. Industry experts noted that the key to success would come from proper human involvement, which Assembled stressed is part of the connective tissue of its solution.
Assembled said Schedule Generation integrates readily with the company’s existing forecasting platform, using prediction as inputs and automatically optimizes schedules on predicted patterns.
Ideally, the company said, it wants management to set down manual implementations and legacy tools that weigh them down, while still maintaining the reliability they have come to know.
