CUSTOMERS of telecommunications giant AT&T will see some savings in 2026 as the company navigates strategies to retain users and boost customer satisfaction.
AT&T users who bundle the company’s newer services, for example, can get their hands on some welcomed savings.

Since its founding in 1885, AT&T has evolved from a telephone company into a comprehensive connectivity company offering all the latest services, including advanced fiber optic and wireless.
As the company evolves its service offerings, AT&T is also ramping up its potential savings for customers, CEO John Stankey discussed at the fourth quarter 2025 earnings call on Wednesday morning.
BUNDLE TIME
For decades, AT&T aimed to be a one-stop-shop for all home entertainment, offering customers a phone, internet, and TV bundle.
The issue, however, was that AT&T did not actually own the content or the satellites in the same way it owned the phone lines, making these customer bundles expensive to maintain.

Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile hike prices AGAIN
With the company’s huge ongoing infrastructure rollouts in both Fiber Internet and 5G Wireless, the fact that it owns the network assets means AT&T can offer customers lower prices than some competitors can afford to offer.
Stankey said that there were periods of time where 80% or so of consumers were bundling when there were “compelling” options in the cable market.
In the current fiber and wireless era, getting back to that level is a huge goal for companies like AT&T, as the industry average for the bundling of wireless and home internet stands at about 30% to 40%.
The CEO predicted future “improvements in the rate” of customers who bundle as services advance.
The CEO added that, as AT&T sees churn rates increase on unbundled users – meaning they stopped using the company’s product or service – it is working to fix that by getting more “consolidated” customers.
“As we bundle more customers, we are making the decision at the front end to provide some better economics to customers to do that,” said Stankey.

Because the company knows customers who buy both Fiber Internet and Wireless are less likely to churn, or cancel their service, AT&T offers users who bundle a tempting 20% monthly discount.
The discounts come as the company continues to invest in its fiber offerings, which is a type of internet wired connection that transfers light signals along thin strands of glass, per AT&T.
The company’s major acquisition of Lumen Technologies’ Mass Markets fiber business for $5.75 billion, for example, will add a huge fiber network to AT&T’s infrastructure.
The deal, announced in May 2025, is expected to close early this year, according to Stankey.
“We’re leading the race to connect more Americans with fiber, the best broadband connectivity technology available,” the CEO previously stated. “This deal with Lumen represents a significant investment in U.S. connectivity infrastructure that will create jobs and spur economic activity in numerous regions and major metro areas across 11 states.
“As we advance our fiber build, we’ll serve more communities with world-class connectivity and expect to roughly double where AT&T Fiber is available by the end of 2030.”
