Running out of battery mid-journey is a nightmare every handheld gamer will have experienced at least once. Belkin’s first foray into Nintendo Switch 2 accessories seemed like the answer when it launched back in June 2025, but the power bank-packing case wasn’t perfect. Now the firm is back for a second go, and has addressed most of my minor quibbles.
Whereas the original Charging Case forced you to open it up and remove your handheld to see how much charge the bundled power bank had remaining, the Charging Case Pro for Nintendo Switch 2’s more bespoke battery backup has an outward-facing LCD screen that shows how much the 10,000mAh cell has in reserve. The USB-C charging port also faces outwards now, so you can top it up while the thing is zipped up.
My other issue with the OG model – that it was hard to play the Switch 2 while charging on account of it being designed for the handheld’s bottom USB-C port – has also been solved. The power bank now has a built-in tabletop stand that elevates the console, letting you get your game on while also recharging at 30W.

The redesign has helped Belkin slim down the case a fair bit compared to the original, while still largely matching it for features. The Charging Case Pro will snugly hold your Switch 2 console (but not a Switch or Switch OLED anymore, as Belkin doesn’t put foam inserts in the box), has storage for up to 12 game cards, a mesh pouch for cables and small accessories, plus a stealthy separate pouch for stashing an AirTag or other tracker.
It’s still got plenty of padding to keep your console safe while in a bag or backpack, along with rugged outer material and heavy-duty zippers that should cope with a life spent on the move.
The Charging Case Pro is launching in Charcoal, Sand and Green colours. it’s available now directly from Belkin US for $100 and will be in the UK and Europe from March, for £69 / €79.

Belkin brought a whole bunch of other new announcements to this year’s CES, including several with Qi2 magnetic wireless charging support.
The UltraCharge Pro Power Bank 10K has both Qi2 25W wireless and 30W USB-C for simultaneous fast charging, and can passthrough charge while topping up itself. There’s also a second magnetic ring on the outside, for adding a wallet, handle, or other accessory while fuelling your smartphone. Expect as much as 34 hours of extra battery life depending on the handset. It’s due in February for $100.
I’m also a big fan of the UltraCharge Modular Charging Dock. Most three-in-one docks play nicely with every make of smartphone and earphone (as long as they’ve got wireless charging on board and a magnet for the phone, either built-in or via a case) but usually favour Apple, so other smartwatch brands are left in the lurch. This one lets you fit your own smartwatch puck, so everyone can get on board. It’ll supply Qi2 25W wireless charging to a phone, and folds up neatly for travel. It’ll arrive in the US later this Spring, for $65.
