With a brilliant camera set-up and one of the biggest batteries we’ve seen in a flagship smartphone, the Oppo Find X9 Pro is a fantastic option for most Android users.
It’s fair to say a lot of brands tend to tweak rather than overhaul their flagship smartphones – just look at the Samsung Galaxy S25 series which looks remarkably similar to the S24 and even the S23 series before it. However, Oppo has shaken things up with the Find X9 Pro and has ditched the previous curved design and circular camera housing for flat edges, rounded corners and square housing instead.
The Find X9 Pro is also fitted with the new Snap Key that works as a reprogrammable shortcut button. This joins the Quick Button, which is Oppo’s answer to the Camera Control button on iPhone.
What especially impressed us with the Find X9 Pro is its display. With seriously thin 1.15mm bezels, a 1.2K resolution and a smooth 120Hz LTPO-enabled refresh rate, everything from streaming to gaming looks impressively vibrant.
Flip the handset over and you’ll be greeted by the brilliant trio of rear lenses, which really helps the Find X9 Pro stand out from the crowd. Alongside the 50MP main and 50MP ultrawide lenses, which can deliver crisp, detailed images that are more true-to-life than even Samsung’s own offerings, is the 200MP 3x periscope lens.
While it does technically go up to 120x, the periscope lens performs best at around the 30x mark. This, realistically, should suffice in most use cases although if you need that bit more oomph then you can purchase Oppo’s Hasselblad Teleconverter lens. It’s definitely not inconspicuous, but it does the job.
Powering the Find X9 Pro is MediaTek’s top-end Dimensity 9500 which enables the handset to fly through everyday use.
We’d argue that alongside its camera prowess, the other headline feature with the Find X9 Pro is its mighty 7500mAh battery. Not only does that class the handset as having one of the biggest batteries in a flagship smartphone, but it’s supported with 80W SuperVOOC and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging speeds too.
Whether you’re a power user or just want to ensure your phone can last a full day, then the Find X9 Pro is a brilliant option.
