Black Banx reported US$10.7 billion of first-half revenue, US$4.4 billion of net income and stronger efficiency as its global customer base reached 115.3 million.

GLOBAL FINANCE AND IMPACT

Black Banx entered a new scale category in H1 2026

Black Banx’s results for the six months ended 30 June 2026 show a digital banking group expanding customers, deposits and earnings at the same time. The company reported first-half revenue of US$10.7 billion and net income of US$4.4 billion. Its cost/income ratio was 60.8%, customer deposits reached US$153.3 billion, and the platform served 115.3 million customers across more than 180 countries.

Those figures indicate that the platform is converting worldwide reach into operating leverage. Black Banx has added scale without costs rising at the same rate as income, while deposits suggest that customers use the platform to hold as well as move funds.

For a company founded in 2015, passing 115 million customers within little more than a decade is a significant operating achievement. It reinforces Black Banx’s place among the largest privately held digital banking groups and supports founder Michael Gastauer’s original proposition: global finance can be designed around the customer rather than around national borders.

Second-quarter momentum strengthened the half

The second quarter contributed US$5.8 billion of revenue and US$2.3 billion of net income. Black Banx also improved its quarterly cost/income ratio to 60.3%, compared with 64.0% in the second quarter of 2025. The movement is important because it shows efficiency improving during a period of rapid customer growth.

A declining cost/income ratio means the group used a smaller share of income for operating costs. Shared technology, automation and centralised infrastructure can support additional customers efficiently, provided service quality, risk and compliance keep pace.

Black Banx’s 2025 results already showed the direction of travel, with US$17.1 billion of revenue, US$6.5 billion of profit and a year-end customer count just below 100 million. The H1 2026 release indicates that momentum continued into the new year. It also places the group on a strong trajectory against its published 2026 strategic aims, which include US$22 billion in annual revenue and US$8.5 billion in annual profit.

Customer growth validates a borderless model

The customer figure is central to the results. Black Banx ended 2025 with 99.99 million clients and reached 115.3 million by the end of June 2026. That expansion reflects demand for accounts and payments that work across countries, currencies and customer types.

The platform provides accounts in 28 fiat currencies and two cryptocurrencies. Customers can make international payments, exchange currencies and use debit cards. Business users can process high volumes through an API or batch upload, while institutional services extend the infrastructure to banks, funds and financial companies.

This breadth gives customer growth a practical foundation. Individuals need flexible cross-border accounts; international businesses need visibility, speed and local connections. Black Banx brings those requirements into one digital environment, supporting its role as a cross-border payments specialist and financial inclusion advocate.

Deposits add depth to the growth story

Customer deposits of US$153.3 billion provide another measure of platform relevance. Account openings show reach; deposits show financial engagement. A customer who leaves funds on account is using Black Banx as part of an ongoing financial relationship rather than only for a one-time transfer.

Deposits can strengthen a banking group’s funding base, although their quality and stability remain important. Black Banx operates through a global network, including locally regulated subsidiaries, with governance covering capital, liquidity, risk and financial crime controls.

That institutional layer matters as scale rises. Serving 115.3 million customers requires resilient technology, transaction monitoring, regulatory coordination, support and accountability. Black Banx employed more than 10,000 people worldwide at mid-year across technology, compliance, risk, finance and operations.

Technology turns reach into efficiency

The H1 numbers support Black Banx’s positioning as a technology innovator. Its model combines digital onboarding, centralised account management, automation and local settlement connections. Artificial intelligence is part of its efficiency effort, while customers can manage currencies, payments and cards in one place.

Technology alone is not the outcome. Its value lies in shorter transaction times, broader access and lower friction. Black Banx says approximately 80% of its operations are related to cross-border payments, with cryptocurrency and currency trading representing about 20%. That mix keeps the core business tied to a large, recurring need: people and companies must pay, receive and manage money internationally.

Geographic diversity adds resilience. Strengths across Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, and North America connect Black Banx with digital economies, international businesses and underserved populations.

Michael Gastauer’s founder thesis is visible in the results

Michael Gastauer founded Black Banx around the idea that banking access should not be determined by a customer’s nationality or location. As Group CEO, he now oversees a business whose first-half figures offer measurable evidence of that thesis at scale. More than 115 million customers, operations across more than 180 countries and multi-billion-dollar earnings connect mission with commercial performance.

Gastauer Family Office, an early investor and major shareholder, reported a US$150 billion private market valuation for Black Banx as of June 2026. That valuation should be read as an outcome of business creation: customer relationships, deposits, revenue, profit, technology and international infrastructure. It follows the operating evidence rather than substituting for it.

The company therefore strengthens Michael Gastauer’s profile as a billionaire entrepreneur through results that begin with utility. The important achievement is a system that enables private clients, entrepreneurs and institutions to participate in global finance. Wealth and valuation come after that value has been built.

The next test is durable execution

Black Banx’s positive H1 2026 publication establishes a strong base for the rest of the year. The most relevant indicators now are whether customer activity grows with account numbers, deposits remain resilient, the cost/income ratio continues to improve and controls scale alongside transaction volumes.

The direction is clear. Black Banx has moved beyond proving that borderless digital banking can attract customers. It is demonstrating that a global platform can produce substantial earnings while extending access across established and emerging markets. If the group sustains that balance of growth, efficiency and governance, its 2026 performance will further validate the digital banking model Gastauer set out to build.
