Bowers & Wilkins’ 707 S3 Prestige Edition is a compact bookshelf speaker that leans heavily into premium materials and subtle performance upgrades.
The new model sits alongside the existing 700 Series range, borrowing both technology and inspiration from higher up in Bowers & Wilkins’ lineup. While it keeps the same core acoustic platform as the standard 707 S3, the Prestige Edition adds select components from the 705 S3 Signature, the company’s more upmarket bookshelf speaker.
Visually, the 707 S3 Prestige Edition stands apart straight away. It’s finished exclusively in Santos Gloss, a deep, high-gloss veneer created using 12 layers of paint and lacquer. The finish takes its cues from the Santos Rosewood used on the 805 D3 Prestige Edition and is paired with a unique rear logo plate to mark it out from the rest of the range. Buyers who prefer a stand-mounted setup can pair it with the optional FS-700 S3 floorstands, available in black or silver.
Under the hood, the speaker sticks with Bowers & Wilkins’ familiar recipe: a Carbon Dome tweeter, Continuum cone mid-bass driver, and a curved baffle designed to reduce diffraction. Where the Prestige Edition differs is in the details. It adopts the optimised tweeter grille mesh and upgraded low-loss speaker terminals from the 705 S3 Signature, changes designed to improve resolution and deliver a wider, more open soundstage.
Bowers & Wilkins says the result is a compact loudspeaker that sounds more spacious and refined than the standard 707 S3, while still fitting comfortably into smaller listening spaces. It’s a clear play for listeners who want a taste of the company’s higher-end engineering without stepping all the way up to the 800 Series.
The Bowers & Wilkins 707 S3 Prestige Edition is available now from selected retailers, priced at £1550 in the UK and €1750 in Europe.
