ONE of Apple’s latest smartphones has had its price dramatically slashed at a top retailer.
The gadget is just a few months old, but is already discounted by £150 in a surprise sale.
John Lewis has cut the price of all three iPhone Air models by £150.
This is the ultra-slim iPhone that was unveiled by Apple in September, making headlines for being just 5.6mm at its thinnest point.
Normally the base iPhone Air costs £999 – and still does at the Apple Store.
But John Lewis is peddling it for the discounted price of £849, and that’s not all.

The pricier option with 512GB of storage instead of the usual 256GB would normally go for £1,199.
However, John Lewis has it listed for £1,049, which is a sizeable discount.
And the 1TB storage option (that’s four times the base model) normally costs £1,399, but is now on offer for £1,249.

It’s unclear how long the deals will last for, but it’s a tempting discount if you’re in the market for the new gadget.
The iPhone Air was one of four new phones announced in September by Apple.
But the other three were all stamped with the iPhone 17 brand, while the iPhone Air was something entirely new.
It is what Apple calls its thinnest iPhone ever, as well as its most durable.
The gadget has a 6.5-inch display (slightly bigger than one on the iPhone 17), and is powered by Apple’s top-end A19 Pro chip.
It has a 48-megapixel Fusion camera system on the back, and there’s a selfie camera on the front.
Apple reckons you’ll get all-day battery life from this gadget, including up to 27 hours of video playback.
And it runs on Apple’s latest iOS 26 software, with the new Liquid Glass design and some clever AI features, including a Call Screening trick that vets unknown callers before they get through to you.
The iPhone Air also supports Emergency SOS via Satellite, so you can reach the emergency services in outdoor locations where you don’t have mobile signal or Wi-Fi.
And it uses eSIM technology, so you don’t need a physical SIM card – you just use a virtual one instead.
The phone’s frame is built out of lightweight titanium, and there’s a Ceramic Shield 2 protection on the front to defend against scratches.
