BYD plans to sell 1.3 million vehicles overseas in 2026, up 25% from 1.04 million units in 2025, the Chinese electric vehicle maker said on Saturday. The target was announced by Li Yunfei, general manager of BYD’s brand and public relations department, at a media briefing in Shanghai. BYD sold about 4.6 million new energy vehicles in 2025, including 2.26 million battery electric vehicles, with over 1.04 million units delivered overseas, covering passenger cars and pickup trucks. The overseas figure exceeded the company’s international sales for the whole of 2024. The automaker has been accelerating its push into Latin America and Southeast Asia, expanding its presence to more than 110 countries and regions. [TechNode Reporting]
