With Intel having sunset Clear Linux, when it comes to aggressive out-of-the-box Linux performance there is the Arch Linux based CachyOS as the leading contender. Given the recent releases of Ubuntu 25.10 and Fedora Workstation 43, if you are curious about the out-of-the-box performance here are some fresh benchmarks of all three using the Framework Desktop.

For those wondering if CachyOS is still commanding superior performance to the likes of the new Ubuntu 25.10 and Fedora 43, today’s article is offering some fresh benchmarks of the rolling-release Arch Linux platform against those new Fedora and Ubuntu releases.

CachyOS

All three Linux distributions were freshly tested on the Framework Desktop featuring the Zen 5 powered AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 “Strix Halo” SoC with Radeon 8060S Graphics.

Ubuntu 25.10 vs. Fedora 43 vs. CachyOS

Clean installations of all three Linux distributions were done on that same desktop computer for seeing how the out-of-the-box performance is comparing among these distributions popular with Linux enthusiasts.
