Motorola has finally announced the launch os its upcoming smartphone, the Moto G96 5G. While taking it to social media, the tech giant has confirmed that the Moto G96 5G will be launched in India on July 9 at 12 PM IST. It is also confirmed that the launch event will be followed by the phone’s availability on Flipkart and Motorola’s official website.
While several details are yet to be confirmed, the design part of it has been revealed by the company itself. While making minor changes to the classic Motorola phone designs, the Moto G96 features a dual camera setup at the back with a leather back panel. When it comes to colour choices, Motorola has teased a few different shades that are Pantone-validated, including Ashleigh Blue, Greener Pastures, Cattleya Orchid, and Dresden Blue.
Moto G96 Expected Specs and Features
Apart from the design, the Moto G96 5G is expected to feature a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with support for a 144Hz refresh rate and the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front. It is also expected to get an IP68 rating against dust and water resistance, though we’ll have to wait for the official launch to confirm these details.
As for performance, the Moto G96 5G is rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. It might be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which should be enough for most users’ multitasking and storage needs. Moreover, the phone is expected to pack a 5,500mAh battery, with support for 68W fast charging.
For photography, the Moto G96 5G is expected to include a 50MP main sensor along with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens that can double as a macro shooter, and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. On the audio side, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support are expected.
Moto G96 Expected Price
This new addition to the Moto G series is likely to sit in the mid-range price bracket, with early estimates suggesting that the price could fall somewhere between Rs 20,000 and Rs 22,990, especially for the higher-end variant. However, the official specs and price will be confirmed with the launch on 9th July.
