Neta Auto on Aug 9 announced the debut of its three electric vehicle models in Brazil, becoming the first Chinese EV startup to tap into the largest economy in Latin America and sixth largest automotive market in the world. The brand, known as Hozon Auto in China, has not revealed how much the Neta Aya and X crossovers will sell for in the local market, but has a starting price of RMB 73,800 and RMB 89,800 ($10,280 and $12,509) respectively at home. The company is opening two showrooms in São Paulo and Brasília by the end of this month, when it will also launch the more premium Neta GT sports sedan in Brazil. By the end of the year, Neta expects to have 15 dealerships in total. [Neta announcement, in Chinese]
