BOE, a Beijing-based display panel manufacturer, has introduced a 6.74-inch 1.5K ADS Pro LCD panel (2720×1224, 446 PPI, RGB stripe) with four key upgrades in pixel design, backplane, architecture, and integration. It achieves 1500 nits peak brightness, sharper images, and 120/144Hz refresh rates with less blur, thanks to a new gate material that improves conductivity threefold while cutting delay by 40% and power use by about 28%. The “Lingdong Display” system supports dynamic regional refresh (40–120Hz) with ~20% lower consumption, and 5–30Hz idle refresh for always-on displays. An integrated ambient light sensor allows slimmer bezels and auto brightness/color tuning. While OLED dominates higher-end models, LCD retains an edge in DC dimming for eye comfort, though its backlight design limits under-display features. No handset maker has yet confirmed use of the new BOE panel. [BOE Official, in Chinese]
