Dell has confirmed that extends Microsoft Azure Local support to Dell Private Cloudas well as the storage platform Dell PowerStorewhich cements its commitment to hybrid solutions.

This step represents an advance in the collaboration between Dell and Microsoft to offer solutions through Azure Local. The first joint initiative in this regard was AX System for Azure Local, a device designed by both parties and whose mission is to simplify the management of hybrid environments. They then launched AX System for Azure Local with PowerFlex, a Premier solution with support for external storage.

The next step in the collaboration is the integration of Azure Local with Dell Private Cloud and PowerStore, expanding the possibilities for companies managing traditional and modern workloads across their infrastructure.

Dell Private Cloud also becomes the first Azure Local offering to offer a complete stack, with computing, external storage and networking; from a single supplier and with comprehensive solution support included.

Among its advantages is Automated Lifecycle Management, with simplified operations with end-to-end automation that frees up IT resources. Also independent scaling, with independent scalability of computing and storage to optimize resources and reduce costs. Furthermore, thanks to its infrastructure, prepared for the future with a disaggregated approach, companies can adapt to upcoming developments.

Regarding the extension of support from Azure Local to Dell PowerStore, it means that the platform offers, with Azure Local, the ability to scale performance and storage independently based on the needs of the company. It also has data reduction always activated, to reduce costs without affecting performance.

All backed by a 5 to 1 data compression guarantee. Plus, it features enterprise-grade resiliency, with built-in protection and security to ensure the availability of critical loads. Azure Local integration with Dell Private Cloud and PowerStore will be available in early access later in Spring 2026.

Dean Paron, Vice President of Product Management, Azure Edge Infrastructure at Microsofthighlighted that “this integration with Azure Local is not only a technical milestone, but an example of Dell and Microsoft’s commitment to helping companies address the complexity of modern IT. From hybrid cloud to edge computing and disconnected environments, we are offering solutions that adapt to real business needs.
