Xiaomi appears to be working on its new smartphone, dubbed Xiaomi 17T Pro, which recently appeared in new certification listings. Weeks after the tech giant launched its flagship Xiaomi 15T series, the upcoming 17T Pro is making headlines, and its early appearance suggests that the brand is preparing to release its next T-series model much sooner than expected, possibly changing its traditional release calendar.
Xiaomi 17T Pro Appears in New Listings
As per report, Xiaomi 17T Pro appeared in a new listing, revealing its model numbers, including 2602EPTC0G and 2602EPTC0R. Both model numbers are linked to Xiaomi 17T Pro. The standard model Xiaomi 17T also appeared in the listing, hinting that both models will be unveiled around the same time.
To recall, Xiaomi is known for releasing its T models toward the end of the year, usually in October. However, this time, the tech giant might change its strategy and release its next Xiaomi 17T Pro series in early 2026, possibly around February.
Such a shift would place the global debut right before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event, which is an ideal stage for Xiaomi to showcase its next big performer.
Xiaomi 17T Pro and Xiaomi 17T Expected Specifications and Codenames
Xiaomi 17T Pro and Xiaomi 17T have also been spotted with new internal codenames, including ‘Chagall’ and ‘Warhol’. Both the codenames represent the base as well as the Pro models.
Talking about the Xiaomi 17T Pro, it is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, while the base variant could pack the Dimensity 8500. Both devices are expected to run on the HyperOS, Xiaomi’s latest software designed for smoother performance.
Xiaomi 17T Pro Scheduled for Faster Rollout
Xiaomi seems to be skipping the ‘16’ generation altogether and preparing the 17T Pro soon after the 15T launch. The inclusion of the 17T Pro model also showcases Xiaomi’s strategy for direct competition with Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup. It also separates Xiaomi’s global lineup from its China-only devices, giving the company more flexibility in launch timings and marketing plans.
