This novelty is based on the Meta Wearable Device Access Toolkit, announced at the recent Conference Connect 2025. This tool gives developers access to the camera, microphones and spectacle speakers. Disney Imagineering is one of the lucky ones who have been able to test this kit before everyone else, and the result is rather speaking: a virtual assistant who follows you in the park and answers questions like an invisible cast member.

A virtual guide always on the nose

In a presentation video, an employee wanders in Disneyland with her smart ray-ban. In front of the bawl boat, she asks: ” What is it, and how do we get on it? ». Immediate response: ” It is the Mark Twain River Boat, a short 14 -minute tour that leaves right next to it. »

The assistant can also help to find a gluten-free snack, check if Space Mountain is adapted to a 4-year-old child, or locate the PORG keychain seen in the hands of the visitor in front of you. And because it does not always wait for your questions, the AI can also suggest plans for visits: to point out that the attraction “Pirates of the Caribbean” has almost no queue (it is rare), or warn that Winnie the Pooh wrap around if the children want a photo. In short, practical information in real time, without taking out your smartphone every five minutes.

For the moment, there is no question of finding these glasses for rent at the entrance to the park. Meta and Disney talk about ” An overview of the future “, But not a product ready to be launched. The technical constraints are very real: when the wi-fi of the park is saturated, it is impossible to ensure quick and reliable answers.

That said, Disney is customary because: connected bracelets to enter the park or in its hotel room, mobile applications to monitor the queues, modernized illusions in the “Haunted Mansion”, or even ultra realistic animatronics. The idea of an AI virtual guide allows you to enrich the experience constantly. Besides, Universal is not to be outdone: its brand new Epic Universe Park is also betting on immersive technologies.

Second generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses are already available with improved autonomy, a revised camera and especially reinforced AI functions. They therefore constitute a perfect showcase for this kind of pilot project.
