DJI’s first 360-degree consumer drone, the Avata 360, appeared in an FCC filing on November 19, signaling its upcoming release in the US market. The filing shows a rotating camera module that can switch between 8K 360-degree capture and forward FPV flight mode. The drone reportedly weighs about 377 grams and includes dual 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors supporting 8K/50fps 360-degree video and 4K/120fps standard video. It also features a 38.67Wh battery offering about 25 minutes of flight time and OcuSync 4.0 transmission with a range of up to 20 kilometers. The expected price for the standard kit is between USD 1,099 and USD 1,299. [DroneXL]
