DJI on Wednesday denied media reports that it held an investor event, clarifying that a mid-November session involving its unreleased panoramic drone, the Avata 360, was only an internal product demonstration. The company said some outlets had cited third-party information claiming DJI convened investors and made comments such as describing itself as the only profitable consumer drone maker globally, asserting it did not need partners, and suggesting the Avata 360 would compete directly on price with Insta360’s Antigravity drone. DJI said the above statements were inaccurate and added that it reserves the right to take action against the spread of misinformation. [Jiemian, in Chinese]
