The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is invited to the competitive segment of mid -range smartphones with the ambition to seduce with a balance between design, performance and Price. I like 👍

Its elegant and atypical design

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is distinguished by a neat aesthetic and is essential, in my eyes, as one of the most beautiful smartphones of the moment. The device is elegant, fine (less than 8 mm thick) and benefits from quality construction. It offers a vegan leather finish in Pantone colors called Slipstream (dark blue), Zephyr (pastel pink) and Amazonite (light blue-green). The smartphone is rather light with a weight of 178 g.

The screen has curved edges on the four sides, which refines even more. The front side is protected by a corning gorilla Glass 7i glass.

Elegant, the Edge 60 Fusion does not forget to be robust. It benefits from a double IP68 and IP69 certification, protecting it from dust, immersion in water and high -temperature water jets. In addition, it complies with the military standard MIL-STD-810H, attesting to resistance to falls (up to 1.22 meters) and extreme temperatures.

If I did not push the smartphone into its entrenchments during my test, I always had the feeling of having a solid phone, even without its protective shell.

Its pleasant and bright screen

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion screen is one of its main assets. It is a 6.67-inch P-Oled slab. It offers a high definition called “Super HD” (2,712 x 1,220 pixels), a density of around 446 ppi, greater than the Full HD+. In use, however, we do not feel large differences between the two definitions, but we are not going to complain about it.

The refresh rate reaches 120 Hz, with a touch sampling rate that can rise to 300 Hz. The maximum brightness announced is very high, up to 4,500 nits, but this peak can only be reached in special conditions. For my part, I was able to use the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion in full sun without any problem with automatic mode. The screen supports the HDR10+ standard and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. It is also validated by Pantone for the accuracy of colors.

Well calibrated by default, the screen fully fulfills its role and does not require specific settings.

Motorola also offers a feature that allows the screen to remain functional even wet. Finally, a fingerprint reader is integrated under the screen.

Its refined interface

The Edge 60 Fusion comes with Android 15 and the HELLO UI overlay from Motorola, known to be light and close to Android Stock. The interface is purified, with few preinstalled applications superfluous.

The novelty, if you can say, is the integration of Moto AI, a set of artificial intelligence features. The brand used to integrate them into its smartphones, in addition to Google Gemini, focusing on advanced integration.

Most functions (summarizing notifications, transcribing notes, generating images, etc.) are easily accessible, even if a Motorola account may be necessary. Features like Smart Connect (Evolution of Ready For) and motorcycle gestures are also present.

Its good autonomy and fast charge

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion has a 5200 mAh battery for the European version. The autonomy is good and allows you to hold an intensive day, even a day and a half in more moderate use.

The 68W Turbopower Fir Fast Turbopower load is supported, allowing a full load in just under an hour. However, the mains charger is not included in the box and the wireless load is not available.

I like less 👎:

Its “correct” performance

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion offers a Mediatek Dimensity 7300 processor (engraved in 4nm). It is supported by 8 GB of RAM LPDDR4X and 256 GB of storage, for the only version available in France. The graphic part is entrusted to an ARM Mali-G615 MP2 GPU.

For daily use, the phone is fluid and responsive. Benchmarks scores position it properly in its category:

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion
SoC – MediaTek Dimensity 7300 (4 nm)
-CPU: 4 x Cortex-A78 up to 2.5 GHz, 4 x Cortex-A55 up to 2.0 GHz
– GPU : Mali-G615 MC2
Antutu – 655 345

– CPU : 206 790
– GPU : 143 994
– Mem : 131 709
– UX : 172 852

Geekbech 6 CPU (single-core / multi-core) 1 047 / 3 020
Geekbech 6 GPU ( OpenCL / Vulkan) 2 579 / 2 530
WildLife Extreme (score / moyenne fps) 855 / 5,12
Steel Nomad Light (score / moyenne fps) 346 / 2,57

It is not the most powerful in its price range, but it is sufficient for the majority of users. At stake, he manages to run most of the titles in a suitable way. However, we note that he is not very “player” and is not thought of for tip performance. This is not especially a defect, but it is an element that must be taken into account when making your choice. Among the appreciable points, he does it without excessive heating.

Last important point to know, it is possible to extend the storage capacity up to 1 to via a microSD card.

His software monitoring too limited in 2025

Motorola promises three years of major updates from Android (up to Android 18) and four years of safety fixes. This is correct, but some competitors now offer much more.

While the regulations are preparing to evolve in Europe, we would have liked Motorola to anticipate by offering four to five years. Benefiting from four major updates and five security fix seems to me to be a minium today.

His quality photo without relief

The rear photo configuration includes a Sony Lytia 700c main sensor of 50 Mpx (f/1.9, with Ois optical stabilization) and an ultra-angle of 13 Mpx (f/2.2, with Autofocus for the macro). The third objective visible at the back of the photo block is used to help the other two modules.

At the front, there is a 32 MP sensor.

In broad daylight, the main sensor produces rather clear and detailed shots, with bright colors, sometimes a little saturated. Some details are missing from the call and there are slight deformations in the corners, as often in this category. The ultra-angle is also very good during the day, but with less details and more noise in the shadows.

With the two modules, we have for our money without being truly impressed by the rendering. In particular, the fault of a slightly too aggressive software processing.

Despite the absence of a telephoto lens, we can benefit from an X2 magnification coherent during the day. It is nevertheless difficult to ask for much more, even if the smartphone tolerates a digital zoom to X10. It is not in this area that he is most of his advantage.

In low light, performance meets expectations without surprising. The photos are very correct, but the colors may seem a little dull and the software processing is always a little too aggressive. The latter tends to smooth the image, but the results remain satisfactory for a smartphone in this category. The great angle is obviously more comfortable in the exercise than the ultra grand angle.

The portrait mode offers a satisfactory cutting, and the selfies are rather sharp with natural skin tones. As with sensors at the rear, smoothing tends to appear. In video, the smartphone records up to 4K at 30FPS (front and rear).

And the value for money?

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is displayed in France at 399.99 euros, in a only version (8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage).

It is positioned in front of models such as the Samsung Galaxy A36, the Nothing Phone (3A) or certain Xiaomi models (Poco X7 Pro, Redmi Note 14 Pro…). Depending on the promotions, it may be facing the Samsung Galaxy A56 or the Google Pixel 8A.

The opponents at its level are not very numerous, but Motorola still has to face important competitors.
