The Chinese version of the fast-paced multiplayer online shooter The Finals, developed by Embark Studios under Nexon, went live on Tuesday and was published by Tencent Games. The overseas version of The Finals launched in December 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, attracting tens of millions of players within just two weeks of its release. The Finals features fully destructible environments, fast-paced multiplayer combat, and interactive gameplay, allowing players to use the environment and weapons to create unique strategies. Tencent’s Chinese version includes localization and custom content, such as China‑themed maps, Chinese voiceovers, and a new mode called “Weapon Master”, while retaining the core “scene destruction + tactical strategy” gameplay.
