The Google-owned streaming giant is now hosting a vast collection of Sesame Street episodes.

You can find them on the Sesame Street YouTube channel, as well as the sesame Street Classics channel.

And Google said that it’s now offering the broadest collection of Sesame Street content anywhere on the web.

“Sesame Workshop and YouTube are making it easier than ever for families to watch and learn with your favourite Sesame Street Muppets,” said YouTube’s Katie Kurtz.

“We are happy to announce that YouTube is now the largest digital library of Sesame Street content.

“Bringing a treasure trove of iconic episodes, original videos, unique Shorts, and thematic programming right to families everywhere.”

The collection includes Welcome to Sesame Street, which is the first-ever episode that aired back in 1969.

As well as full-length episodes, there will be a collection of Shorts featuring Sesame Street characters.

“More than 100 full Sesame Street episodes from previous seasons are now available on YouTube and the YouTube Kids app for the first time,” Kurtz said.

“This includes episodes from recent seasons as well as some of the most beloved moments from Sesame Street history that fans have been waiting for.”

YouTube says that some of the most beloved episodes are available, including:

  • Welcome to Sesame Street: Watch the first-ever episode that aired in 1969 introducing favorite characters like Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Kermit the Frog, and more.
  • Snuffy is Revealed: Big Bird finally reveals that his friend Snuffleupagus isn’t imaginary at all!
  • Mr. Rogers Visits: It’s a beautiful day on Sesame Street when Fred Rogers comes to visit the neighborhood.
  • Maria & Luis Get Engaged: Maria and Luis are in love and decide to get married.
  • Goodbye Mr. Hooper: The neighbors of Sesame Street come together after the passing of their friend Mr. Hooper.

They’re all free to stream right now.

PARENT POWER

The news comes alongside a major revamp to YouTube’s parental controls.

It’s now possible to set up special limits for YouTube Shorts, which is the app’s vertical short-form video feed.

You’re now able to set a zero-limit for how much time your youngster can spend scrolling.

As well as that, you’re able to set Bedtime and Take a Break reminders, which are also switched on by default.

Additionally, there’s a brand new sign-up process that makes it much easier for a parent to create a new child or teen account.

YouTube says you can do this in “just a few taps”.

And you can switch between family accounts in the mobile app like you would with Netflix profiles.
