You may remember advising Donna on her new iPhone purchase a couple of weeks ago: She couldn’t decide between the iPhone 17 Air and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. You overwhelmingly told her to go with the Pro Max, but… well, I’ll let her take it from here:
I decided to take a chance on the iPhone Air… and I regret my choice! While the slim form factor and shimmery sky blue color were fun novelties, the single-lens camera was a deal breaker.
I tested the Air against my current 16 Pro Max and did a photo shoot with my 6-month-old daughter. There was no comparison. The Wide-angle lens and 2X optical zoom worked as well as my 16, but I felt very limited by the lack of Ultra Wide and macro zoom options.
I appreciate all of you looking out for me! You all overwhelmingly warned me I should avoid the Air. Capturing my daughter’s first year of life is priceless and not something you want to cut corners on, as you all kindly pointed out.
I have a silver 17 Pro Max on the way!
