Fujitsu and NVIDIA have expanded their collaboration with the aim of develop complete infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence that is capable of integrate AI agents. This expansion also seeks to boost the competitiveness of companies through AI, while maintaining their autonomy in the use of said technology.
Initially, the collaboration will focus on the joint development, as well as the bringing to market, of a tailored AI agent platform for AI agents in specific sectors. Among them, healthcare, manufacturing and robotics. They will also develop an AI computing infrastructure that integrates the range of Fujitsu-Monaka CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs through NVIDIA NVLink Fusion.
The agentic AI platform and computing infrastructure, combined, will result in an AI infrastructure with agents capable of continuously learning and improving, that can evolve on its own and that can be used in different industry sectors to overcome the limitations of general-purpose computing systems. With this initiative, Fujitsu intends to transform the industry, starting in Japan, by driving the adoption of AI on a large scale.
Thanks to its work with NVIDIA, Fujitsu wants to develop a co-creation cycle between humans and AI, and lead to continuous evolution of the system, through the integration of high-speed AI computing with human judgment and creativity.
Specifically, it seeks to accelerate manufacturing through digital twins, and will include robotics for operational automation in cases where there is a workforce shortage. They will also serve to stimulate human innovation. The resulting comprehensive AI infrastructure, which will serve multiple industry sectors, will deploy advanced AI to achieve improvements in automation and intelligence.
As we have mentioned, the collaboration will focus on the joint development of an agentic platform capable of evolving autonomously, for the industry. It will show a balance between speed and security through multi-lieutenant support. It will be developed from Fujitsu Kozuchi and will integrate the Japanese company’s AI workload orchestration technology with the NVIDIA Dynamo platform.
In addition, it will incorporate a mechanism that will allow AI agents and models to evolve autonomously, and be customized for specific sectors according to customer needs. This is possible by leveraging the capabilities of NVIDIA NeMo and improving multi-AI agent technologies, such as Fujitsu’s Takane AI model.
This collaboration will enable the launch of a robust partner ecosystem to amplify the use of AI agents and models with the capacity to develop joint partner programs. Also the development of transformative use cases for the industry, in addition to the promotion of AI-driven transformation in sectors such as robotics.
Takahito Tokita, CEO de Fujitsuhas commented that «Fujitsu’s strategic collaboration with NVIDIA will accelerate AI-driven business transformation in the enterprise and government sectors. By combining the cutting-edge technologies of both companies, we will develop and provide a complete AI infrastructure, starting with sectors such as manufacturing, in which Japan is a global leader. To continue supporting growing AI infrastructure needs, Fujitsu and NVIDIA will expand this collaboration in the areas of high-performance and quantum computing«.
As to Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIAhas highlighted that «The industrial AI revolution has begun and we must build the infrastructure necessary to drive it, both in Japan and the rest of the world. Fujitsu is a true computing pioneer and Japan’s trusted leader in supercomputing, quantum research and enterprise systems. Together, NVIDIA and Fujitsu are connecting and expanding their ecosystems to forge a powerful alliance for the AI era«.
