An orientation that only partially appeals to IT decision-makers. And these in turn would have been necessary to attract more big tech companies and lure them into larger investments. A number of interesting providers were on site, for example A1 Digital, AMD, AWS, Bosch, DeepL, Google, IONOS and NinjaOne, but most of them had a small or no stand of their own.
However, the whole thing is just a snapshot and with a little patience, skill and perseverance the trade fair could have developed – not least thanks to the focus on digital sovereignty and AI.

However, the organizers have not completely shelved the dream of a successful European high-tech trade fair. GITEX AI Italy will take place in Rome at the end of April 2027, followed a month later by GITEX AI Serbia in Belgrade. In general, the number of tech events planned or held in the last two years raises the suspicion that the GITEX makers have lost their way.
