Google’s Chrome is getting an AI makeover! Google has confirmed in a blog post that it is set to change how you browse using Chrome, not just with features but with the addition of Gemini. Google has confirmed that the rollout starts with Mac and Windows desktop users in the U.S., provided their language is set to English. Support for mobile devices is also on the way. Gemini will be part of Chrome on Android, and an update to the iOS Chrome app will follow soon. Businesses using Google Workspace will get access in the coming weeks, with enterprise-level controls included. news Also Read: Gemini Nano Banana AI Saree Trend: This Creepy Encounter By Woman Has A Message For You, Google Replied

What Can Gemini Do In Google Chrome?

Gemini isn’t just about answering quick questions-it’s designed to make browsing more useful. Here are a few ways it will help: news Also Read: 7 Best Value-For-Money Smartphones Under Rs 40,000: 50MP Cameras, AMOLED Displays, And More

  • Simplify webpages: You can ask Gemini to break down complex information or even summarise multiple websites at once.
  • Work across tabs: Planning a trip or comparing products? Gemini can pull details from different tabs into one clear view.
  • Recall past browsing: Instead of scrolling through your history, you’ll be able to ask Gemini to find a page you visited last week.

Google also teased agentic features coming soon. These will let Gemini complete multi-step tasks on your behalf-like booking a service or ordering something online-while you stay in control.

Deeper Google App Integration

Not only these, but with the addition of Gemini, you’ll be able to schedule meetings in Calendar, jump to a moment in a YouTube video, or check a Maps location-without leaving the page you’re on.

Another upgrade is AI Mode in Search, accessible directly from Chrome’s address bar (the omnibox). This allows you to ask detailed, natural questions and continue the conversation with follow-ups, all within the browser.

Google is also using AI to make browsing safer. Gemini Nano will help detect scammy websites and fake pop-ups, while Chrome will cut down on spammy notifications. Password security is getting an upgrade, too-you’ll soon be able to change compromised passwords in one click on supported sites.

For now, the rollout is limited to the U.S., but wider availability is expected in the coming months.
