Instagram has introduced six new Diwali-themed effects powered by Meta AI. You can now restyle your photos or videos with glowing jazz, colourful rangolis, or festive fireworks.
- For images, there are Fireworks, jazzand Rangoli effects.
- For videos, you get Lanterns, Marigold, and Rangoli filters.
Each one gives your visuals a warm, festive vibe, perfect for sharing Diwali greetings or lighting up your stories.
How To Use Diwali Filters on Instagram Stories
Using them is quite simple. Just follow these steps:
- Open Instagram and head to Stories (tap the “+” icon on your profile photo or just swipe left).
- Pick the photo or video you want to share.
- Tap the Restyle (paintbrush) icon on top.
- Choose any of the Diwali-themed filters from the list.
- Meta AI will automatically apply the effect for you.
- Once happy with the result, tap Done and post it to your Story.
You can also tweak the final look using short text prompts if you want to make it more personalised.
How To Add Festive Effects in the Edits App
You can also use the Edits app to restyle your videos.
- Open the app and tap + to start a new project.
- Select a video from your gallery or record one directly.
- Tap Restyle and scroll to the Diwali header.
- Choose between Lanterns, Marigold, or Rangoli effects.
- Adjust the look if needed and export your video once ready.
