According to Qichacha, a Chinese company information platform, HiSilicon Semiconductor has undergone a business registration change: Xu Zhijun has stepped down as legal representative and chairman, with HiSilicon CEO Gao Ji taking over. Xu, who joined Huawei in 1993, currently serves as vice chairman and rotating chairman. His resignation may reflect an internal adjustment of management responsibilities within Huawei. HiSilicon is wholly owned by Huawei and focuses on semiconductor design and development; this leadership change may indicate strategic optimization. HiSilicon, a wholly owned subsidiary of Huawei, specializes in semiconductor design and development. Founded in October 2004 from Huawei’s integrated circuit design center, the Shenzhen-based company also operates branches in Beijing, Shanghai, and other cities. [Jiwei, in Chinese]
