I’ve tested a lot of sonic electric toothbrushes, but I keep circling back to the Philips Sonicare 4100. This is one of the most versatile beard trimmers thanks to the dozen or so attachments in the box. They’re easy to swap, but you can also use the trimmer without the guard for the closest shave, and it doesn’t nick or pull. You can use it plugged or unplugged (we rarely had to plug it in), and it’s completely waterproof.
An Affordable Soothing Balm

A little goes a very long way—I’ve had my current jar for three years—and the formula is thick, but melts down quickly. This luscious treatment is flavored and scented, but not tinted.
