I’ve been waiting a while to pick up a new laptop, and I’ve finally found the one to buy: the Lenovo Slim 7i Aura Edition. It’s a Copilot+ laptop that packs in a really powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, along with a sublime 14″ WUXGA OLED screen.
And best of all, I’m picking it up with a 20 percent discount in the October Prime Day deals, which also features a whole host of Lenovo hardware.
It’s time to buy a new laptop
I’m picking up the Lenovo Slim 7i Aura Edition
It’s hard waiting for these big discount days to come around. Well, it’s slightly easier these days now that we have Prime Day, October Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. But I digress.
The Lenovo Slim 7i Aura Edition is a really tidy 14″ laptop, which is what I’ve been looking at for some time. It has some key plus points for me that make it very much worth your time, such as the powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 256V CPU, clocked to 2.2GHz, along with the 17 hours of battery life.
Lenovo actually claims it can last 34.5 hours in its marketing documentation, which, if correct, is just bonkers. I’ve seen testing hit around 26 hours (timed link in the video below), itself a remarkable level of usage for a 14″ laptop, but anything above 20 hours is still outstanding.
The Slim 7i Aura Edition also comes equipped with Lenovo’s Smart Modes. These allow the laptop to adapt automatically to what you’re doing. For example, if the laptop detects that you’re into deep work, it could activate Attention Mode, blocking distracting websites to help you focus better.
I’m opting for the discounted Lenovo Slim 7i Aura Edition—which we actually gave an award to at IFA 2024—with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage; other specs are available should you want more memory or storage.

Intel Core Ultra 7 256V
The Lenovo Slim 7i Aura Edition is a sleek 14-inch laptop that strikes an excellent balance between performance and portability. Powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor (2.2GHz) and featuring 16GB of RAM with a 1TB SSD, it’s built for demanding workloads, streaming, and productivity alike. Battery life is where it truly shines. Lenovo claims up to 34.5 hours on a single charge—an ambitious figure—but even real-world tests show around 26 hours, which is still exceptional for a lightweight laptop. That kind of endurance easily carries you through multiple workdays without reaching for the charger.
That’s not Lenovo’s only October Prime Day deal
Come for the laptops, stay for the… laptops
Of course, Lenovo is no stranger to a laptop or two, and it has discounted some of its other IdeaPads, along with some of its more hardcore gaming-focused laptops.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3X
IdeaPads are perfect for students who want something more powerful than a flimsy Chromebook, but don’t want to break the bank.
The IdeaPad Slim 3X is a really good option in this sense, packing in a Snapdragon X processor clocked at 2.97GHz—there won’t be much you can’t get done with that power. Better still, the Snapdragon X chips are very power-efficient, which gives the IdeaPad Slim 3X up to 16 hours of usage.
It’s 15.3″ 16:10 WUXGA is also bright and vivid, great for design work or watching movies, while it comes with a military-grade MIL-STD 810H premium-grade metal chassis that should keep it protected against bumps and scrapes.
Lenovo IdeaPad 1
If you don’t want to spend quite that much, the IdeaPad 1 is cheaper again, but still has a few key areas in which it excels.
This 15.6-inch laptop is built for smooth multitasking and responsive everyday performance. Its real standout is the 20GB of high-speed RAM, allowing you to run multiple applications, browser tabs, and productivity tools simultaneously without slowdown.
It also packs an impressive 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, ensuring lightning-fast boot times and file transfers, while the additional 128GB eMMC provides extra space for backups and media files.
The only downside to this IdeaPad is the Intel Celeron N4500 processor, which is on the lightweight side of things. The 2.8 GHz dual-core processor is reliable, but don’t expect to be venturing into any sort of real gaming.
Lenovo Chromebook Duet
Who doesn’t love a Chromebook, eh? The Lenovo Chromebook Duet (2025) combines portability, versatility, and performance in a sleek 2-in-1 design. What’s nice about this Chromebook is the full-metal chassis reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass and a soft folio stand, which means you can take it or use it anywhere without too much worry.
The 10.95-inch WUXGA IPS touchscreen offers decent brightness and clarity, while the MediaTek Kompanio 838 processor will help you work through almost any task. I mean, it is a lightweight Chromebook, so don’t expect to be programming your latest machine learning project, but it’s certainly competent for writing, emails, watching movies, and so on.

MediaTek Helio P60T
Portable, lightweight, and versatile—that’s what you get with the Lenovo Chromebook Duet. Powered by a MediaTek Kompanio 838 processor, the Duet is an efficient performer that delivers excellent battery life, while the 10.95-inch WUXGA IPS touchscreen is useful for all day working.
You can’t go wrong with Lenovo
Laptop, monitors, and more
Lenovo’s October Prime Day deals largely focus on its extensive laptop range, but it’s thrown out some deals on other hardware, too. For example, you can pick up the highly-rated Lenovo Legion Gaming Backpack with a big discount. Or if you’re looking for some new peripherals, why not give the Lenovo 600 Silent Mouse a try?
Either way, Lenovo has what you need. I just need to wait for my new laptop to arrive now!
