IShowSpeed beats Ashton Hall in a Race 4x in a row.
“Ashton Fall 😥😥😥” said one commenter on YouTube.
He actually fell in one race.
”Delete you Instagram”, said IShowSpeed.
What can I say. Loud mouth and all, he did Show Speed.
The race garnered 40million + views on Speed’s Live YouTube channel.
Who is Ashton Hall?
Ashton Hall is an online fitness coach, who I first got to know in an Instagram clip of him running with DJ Khaled.
He also did a run with a menacing dog.
Third time I heard of him was on his race with Speed.
Who is IShowSpeed?
First heard of him from Farza Majeed, the founder of BuildSpace.
This was in one of the classes of nights&weekends season 5.
Sadly, it would be the last nights&weekends. Because Farza would go on to shut down BuildSpace.
Anyhow, I checked out IShowSpeed that time.
He got Cojones.
Here he is Jumping over 2 Lamborghinis speeding in his direction
Here’s a chill WhatsApp sticker.
He is only 20 years old. And he shouts a lot.
Maybe I need to shout some more.
I2ShowSpeed with my HackerNoon articles on Bitcoin
Now that we have the title explained, let’s actually get down to how I too show speed.
Well, I don’t run as fast as Speed, but I write Bitcoin articles fast.
Consider this:
I started writing on HackerNoon in July 2023.
Over the course of 1 year and 11 months, two Bitcoin Writing contests (the second one split into 3 rounds) have been created on here.
Bitcoin Writing contests, unlike Bitcoin Development contests, are pretty scarce.
So this was an opportunity as rare as discovering Bitcoin in 2009.
I dove in with as much volume and quality works as I could manage to juggle in;
1.The Bitcoin Mining Writing Contest by GoMining
2. The Bitcoin Writing Contest by Rootstock
The competition was intense but of the 4 possible prizes that could be won, I won 3!
(With the GoMining contest, it was one prize, while with the Rootstock contest there actually were 15 prizes. 5 for each round.
I missed submitting in round 1 in the Rootstock contest. But I would’ve aced it, no doubt).
Convinced yet?!
Ready to delete your instagram? … kidding.
How many articles were submitted?
I submitted north of a dozen articles for both contests.
More.
Altogether, contestants submitted Thousands.
Check this out:
The #gomining tag has 3990 stories. And most of them, I bet, have been submitted from around the contest time.
The #rootstock tag has tracked 264 stories.
(Wait, but Rootstock put up more money than GoMining. 17.5x more money !!
Hmm. Strange. Does this mean my last 2 wins were easier? Or does it mean people actually didn’t know there was a ton of money to be made writing stories in late 2024 vs early 2024?
The second makes more sense).
HackerNoon’s editors clean combed through them all 💪
We Need More Writing Contests from Ya’ll
We need a better way to hodl without binging more 2 hour videos of Saylor, but rather creating 2 hours worth of reading time of our own.
Afterall, reading is way more low time preference than watching.
Low time preference means instead of binging sweets, you can grow corn and cattle and eat proper meals.
Say, who are all these Bitcoin Treasury companies paying for Marketing and PR, if not paying Bitcoin Writers via Writing Contests on HackerNoon? (It’s the only way I see how to optimize for volume of articles).
C’mon,
Bring on the Dragons of Writing To Bitcoinviction the Masses.
Me and my pen 🖊 (smartphone, actually) are ready to slay them.
For IWillShowSpeed when it comes to Bitcoin Writing on HackerNoon.
Show Speed alongside an army of fellow Bitcoin writers.
They are all prepping on the runway right now.
Waiting for HackerNoon to blow the whistle…
Then ZOOM!..
