BLACK Friday is just around the corner – but there are plenty of offers available now.
And it’s an especially good time to bag a smartphone bargain.
With so many apparent deals around it can be hard to tell the good from the bad.
And the choice of smartphones these days makes it even trickier.
As The Sun’s Assistant Technology and Science Editor I am constantly doing smartphone reviews for expensive and affordable products.
Here are some of the handsets actually worth considering and the current deals I’ve spotted.

I’m DITCHING iPhone after 10 years – how new Samsung mobile has convinced me
More may come up as we near Black Friday itself, which is on November 28, so you might want to keep a look out.
#1 Google Pixel 10
The Google Pixel is among my favourite smartphones around when it comes to Android.
I’ve reviewed most of the range since it started in 2016.
I love the simple, consistent look of the handset – and I’ve always praised it for having the best take on Android itself, which one should expect seeing as Google makes both the device and the software.

The latest in the range is the Google Pixel 10, with four different versions which only really vary by display and camera size.
But the main Google Pixel 10 is perfectly good.
At the moment, many places are selling it for £599 with 128GB of storage down from £799 – or £799 for the 256GB option, down from £899.
However, John Lewis has a special trade-in promotion running from now until December 11.
If you trade-in an old Apple device you can get an extra £300 off.
That’s on top of whatever the value of the iPhone you want to trade-in.
Obviously, trade-ins are subject to the condition of the smartphone you’re offering.
And there is one stipulation – the devices you’re trying to trade-in has to have an estimated value (ie not worthless) according to John Lewis’s own trade-in programme run by partner Likewize.
Having checked, the oldest iPhone you can trade-in is the iPhone 7 32GB worth £2 if it’s still in a workable condition.
So if you have a disused iPhone lying around the place you could bag some serious savings.
And if you want more storage options on the Google Pixel 10, there are offers available for the Pro and Pro XL too.
#2 Honor Magic7 Pro
Another top pick of mine in the Android department is Honor’s Magic7 Pro.
I tried it at the start of the year at launch and was wowed by some of the stunning photos it took during a trip to Solvenia.
The battery is also pretty good on this one too.
Honor has its own Android skin called MagicOS which feels pretty true to the main Android experience.
When this launched it cost £1099, which I described as “quite steep for a growing brand” in my review at the time.
Fortunately the price has now dropped massively and it’s available for £549.99 at EE.
#3 Motorola Moto Razr 50 Ultra
If you’re feeling like a flip phone upgrade, the Motorola Moto Razr 50 Ultra is one popular choice.
It has a huge external display when folded which is perfect for seeing your notifications.
And it’s obviously ideal for selfie lovers too – though cameras on foldables aren’t as good as non foldables currently.
It was released for £999 but the cheapest you can get it at the moment is for £471.99 on Amazon.
