The operation began weeks ago, but it was Tuesday when the National Police agents have made the arrests effective. In the municipality of Agüimes (Gran Canaria), two people have been arrested for their alleged participation in cyber -terrorism crimes, within the framework of an investigation into the filtration and sale of personal data of key state figures.
The case is in the hands of the Central Court of Instruction number one of the National Court, under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office of the National Court, and has mobilized the General Information Police Station, the CNI and the Provincial Information Brigades of Madrid and Las Palmas.
Two young people detained. The indications collected so far suggest that one of the detainees would have been in charge of obtaining and publishing the data, and the other, of managing the economic circuit, with payments in cryptocurrencies designed to hide their trail.
Canary Islands7 identifies the detainees as Yoel OQ, 19, and Cristian Ezequiel SM Yoel was arrested at his home early morning. According to sources cited by the newspaper, it was not a cybercrime to use, but the agents managed to follow their fingerprint until we found it.
Cristian, his friend, would have known his activities and collaborated in certain aspects of the operation. Both, according to the aforementioned medium, would be linked to the filtration of personal data of Pedro Sánchez and other politicians.

“We are two bored kids”. One of the assumptions responsible for the leaks, which operates under the alias of ‘Akkaspace’, had offered in recent days an interview on Twitch in which he justified his activity as a “lesson” against the political class.
The leaks, in their own words, were made with the help of a bot that index previously compromised databases. Once underway, he says, allows you to search by full name, telephone number or DNI, and return sensitive information in seconds.
