GOOGLE users were outraged after being told that a popular feature was being removed from one of their gadgets.
Users will have until May 8 to use the feature on their devices, before it is taken away for good.

Google Home devices allow tech-lovers to set alarms, play music and turn on devices in their houses.
The devices were also beloved for their Nest Aware function which allowed them to detect smoke alarms or breaking glass.
This provided an extra layer of security at home, as the device could warn you about household dangers.
However, Google has informed their users that their Home devices will soon lose access to this feature.
In an email sent to users, they said: “Starting May 8, 2025, your Google Home Max will no longer have the sound detection feature as part of your Nest Aware subscription.
“Sound detection (which alerts you if glass breaking or a smoke/carbon monoxide alarm is heard) will still be supported on your other Google devices with your Nest Aware subscription.”
Fans were outraged by the news with many taking to social media to express their frustration.
One Reddit user said: “Google has turned this product line and Home in general into a joke.
“It was once a delight.
“Now I end up having to use my phone for any features because they just can’t interpret commands anymore, and the features have been dropping left and right.
“I don’t care so much about this particular feature, but it’s a clear sign of continued deprioritization from them.”
Another wrote: “Why? Why do this?
“And why should I spend any more money on a premium Google product if you’re just going to slowly strip away features.
“I’m done.”
Google has been approached for comment about the decision to remove the feature.
The news comes after the brand’s founder called for staff to hit a 60 hour-week “sweet spot”.
Sergey Brin said: “In my experience about 60 hours a week is the sweet spot of productivity.
“Some folks put in a lot more but can burn out or lose creativity.
“A number of folks work less than 60 hours and a small number put in the bare minimum to get by.
“This last group is not only unproductive but also can be highly demoralizing to everyone else.”
Brin’s comments came as the brand hopes to take on other tech giants to achieve Artificial General Intelligence.
