When is Black Friday?

The Black Friday sale event always lands on the Friday after Thanksgiving. That’s today, Nov. 28. So, don’t wait around and make the most of the price cuts and sizable sales from the biggest online retailers that are now live.

What kind of Black Friday deals are available at Best Buy?

Best Buy stocks just about everything, so it’s no shock that its Black Friday lineup is just as extensive. You’ll find deals across categories like TVs, headphones, laptops, tablets and gaming, along with major price drops on appliances, health and fitness gear and holiday-ready toys.

Do I need a membership to shop Best Buy’s Black Friday sale?

No, you don’t need a Best Buy membership to shop the Black Friday sale, though some offers are reserved for members. These include extra savings or exclusive promotions stacked on top of existing discounts.

Will tariffs affect Black Friday?

Lots of readers are concerned about tariffs and how they could affect holiday shopping. It’s certainly possible that tariffs could affect Black Friday sales, as we have seen some related price hikes, including on Nintendo Switch consoles. But that doesn’t mean you can’t find great deals on tech and other items. The best way to determine if you’re getting a good deal is to track the item’s price history before making a purchase. You can do this on sites like CamelCamelCamel and Price Tracker, or by using the Keepa browser extension. We’ve rounded up several useful shopping tools for you to check out, and we’ll highlight the best deals we find throughout the event.

Where else can I shop for Black Friday?

  • Amazon: One of the biggest online retailers, Amazon rolls out deep price cuts on tech, home appliances and smart-home favorites.
  • Walmart: You can score major savings on TVs, laptops, refrigerators and more during Walmart’s Black Friday event.
  • Home Depot: Home Depot delivers top deals on home improvement essentials including tools, appliances and grills.
  • Target: While not the biggest Black Friday player, Target still offers solid discounts on toys, gifts and board games.
