It was a busy start of December for KDE Plasma developers in working out several hardware fixes for the current Plasma 6.5 series while also working on new Plasma 6.6 features like the per-DRM-plane color pipelines.

KDE developer Nate Graham is out with his latest weekly recap of all interesting Plasma changes. Some of this week’s Plasma highlights include:

– Plasma 6.6 will support per-DRM-plane color pipelines. This follows the DRM color pipeline going into Linux 6.19.

– Plasma 6.6 will now re-check the battery level after waking from sleep to deal with cases where the battery may be draining or charging during sleep.

– When a printer runs low on ink for multiple cartridges simultaneously, it’s presented as one notification rather than separate notifications for each ink cartridge.

– Plasma 6.5.4 fixes an issue with some old analog VGA monitors where the screen would turn black.

– Plasma 6.5.4 will also ensure all buttons can be properly configured on the Wacom Pen Pro 3D stylus.

– There is also a fix for some “weird” tablets that report having two stylus but really only have one stylus.
