What we liked the most

Featherweight and 14″ format. Con ~996 g and 16 mm, it is one of the lightest 14″ that you can put in your backpack: perfect for consultants, salespeople and editors who hold meetings.

2.8K OLED display (2880×1800) at 120 Hz. “Real” blacks, high sharpness and very fluid scrolling: it is noticeable when reading and editing long documents in Docs/Sheets and when browsing with many tabs.

Plenty of performance for a modern office. The most widespread configuration Intel Core 5 120U + 16 GB RAM + SSD NVMe 512 GB It seamlessly moves mail, Google suite, video calls and corporate SaaS, remaining discreet in noise and temperature.

Charge via USB-C. Convenient for travel and compatible with multiport GaN chargers.

Performance in our use (mail + Google Workspace)

We have used it to tasks with few technical requirements: answer emails, Gmail, Docs/Sheets/Slides, Calendar and meetings in Meet. It’s going perfect: opens quickly, maintains several tabs and apps without jerks and stays quiet and cool in long sessions. This, combined with the weight and USB-C charging, makes it very comfortable for days on the go.

Where it fits (and where it doesn’t)

Ideal for:

  • Professionals who prioritize extreme mobility without giving up a neat screen.

  • Teams that work mainly with SaaS and browser (Google Workspace, ERP/CRM web).

Least suitable for:

  • Video editing, 3D or intensive AI: The 120U iGPU is for office use, not sustained loads.

  • Whoever needs Wi-Fi 7 or more ports/internal scalability: check alternatives or docks. (In this reference, the radio is Wi-Fi 6).

Key specifications (depending on variants)

  • CPU: Intel Core Ultra 5 228V o Ultra 7 258V (with NPU for AI tasks on Windows).

  • Graphics: Intel Arc 130V/140V integrated.

  • Memory: until 32 GB LPDDR5x.

  • Storage: 512 GB – 1 TB SSD NVMe (depending on model).

  • Security: TPMfingerprint reader and Windows Hello in some references.

  • Copilot+ PC / tecla Copilot and Windows 11.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Ultraligero (~996 g) and very portable.

  • OLED 2.8K 120 Hz– Outstanding comfort for text and web.

  • Performance sufficient and silent for email + Workspace + video calls.

  • USB-C Charge; easy to integrate into setups with GaN chargers.

Contras

  • Variants by market (RAM/SSD/keyboard); requires reviewing the MD exact.

  • Wi-Fi 6 instead of Wi-Fi 7 in the consulted version,

  • In OLED/120 Hz, the real autonomy It can go down if you set 120 Hz and high brightness (adaptive refresh recommended).

Conclusion

He Medion Signium 14 S1 stands out for its uncompromising portability and a screen that improves reading and editing documents. For email, Google Workspace and video calls, meets note and “disappears” in the backpack. If your job requires dedicated GPU or heavy computing, look at another league; if you value move quickly and work comfortably in the browserit’s a success.
