METZ has announced a new 24-inch rechargeable Google TV set designed for home use and travel, marking the brand’s latest expansion into portable entertainment.

METZ has introduced a new 24-inch portable smart TV designed for homes, guest rooms and holiday trips, offering Google TV streaming and a built-in rechargeable battery in a compact form factor.

The METZ 24MPE7002Z aims to give users the flexibility of a tablet with the familiarity and viewing comfort of a traditional TV, and it is available now in the UK for £299.

The 4kg TV is built for scenarios where a fixed screen doesn’t make sense whether that’s camping, caravanning, setting up an entertainment corner in a summer house, or giving kids a TV that can be moved or stored away when needed.

An integrated carry handle and slim profile make the set easy to transport, and METZ says the internal battery delivers more than three hours of viewing on a single charge, which is enough for films, match highlights or an evening of streamed content.

Designed for flexible viewing

The 24MPE7002Z includes an anti-glare matte LED display that makes it more practical for bright rooms or outdoor use compared to standard glossy panels. Its Full HD (1080p) resolution keeps images sharp at this size, while two front-firing 6W speakers with Dolby Digital Plus aim to provide fuller audio than typical portable screens.

The TV can be powered in several ways: via the rechargeable battery, the mains, a built-in 12V car adapter or even an external power bank. That range of options makes it suitable for boats, motorhomes, road trips or anywhere without reliable socket access. A sleep timer also helps limit viewing time or save battery by shutting the screen off automatically.

Google TV built in

Running Google TV, the set supports apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV and YouTube, along with more than 10,000 additional apps available via Google Play.

Users get personalised recommendations, Google Assistant voice search, Google Cast for phone mirroring and support for multiple user profiles. METZ also highlights kid-friendly profiles, allowing parents to manage watch time and filter content more easily.

While positioned as a travel-friendly device, the 24-inch size also makes it suitable as a secondary TV for kitchens, spare rooms or dorms, especially for those who want a simple streaming screen without needing an aerial connection. METZ emphasises reliability, offering a two-year warranty and an optional protective carry case for £29.99.

The METZ 24MPE7002Z is on sale now through Euronics retailers across the UK and Amazon, with a suggested retail price of £299.
