Microsoft has presented its AI Safety Dashboard, a new security tool for IT administrators managing AI infrastructurewhich promises tighter control and clearer vision for teams without adding additional costs.

Microsoft continues to promote cybersecurity initiatives. Last month it introduced a new tool that allowed IT administrators to investigate large-scale security breaches and also talked about how it is making Windows more secure by default, such as issuing new Secure Boot certificates, key to the security of the entire ecosystem. And as AI becomes increasingly integrated into organizational workflows, it causes major challenges in cybersecurity.

AI Safety Dashboard

Microsoft has announced a new utility that allows IT administrators and cybersecurity personnel to manage the security of their AI infrastructure. A response to the demand of professionals for a better way of manage your agents, applications and AI platforms in a unified way. This is precisely what this dashboard does, combining signals from Microsoft Defender, Entra and Purview in real time, allowing CISOs and risk managers to implement better governance policies.

The Redmond firm believes that this unification of risk signals will improve efficiencyas it will offer a consolidated view in an interactive panel. This dashboard includes a summary tab with a dashboard of AI risks, as well as offering corrective measures in case of problems. It is also worth noting that any integrated services, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio agents, and Microsoft Foundry, along with third-party models such as Gemini and ChatGPT, are included.

There is also AI inventory to facilitate asset discovery, allowing security managers to not only identify risks but also understand threats to their business. IT administrators can then use Security Copilot to conduct additional investigations through a chat-based interface.

The dashboard also takes into account best practices and policies recommended by Microsoft and implemented by organizations. Provides personalized suggestions and the ability to delegate recommended actions to relevant personnel. Microsoft hopes that this panel reduce fragmentation in the cybersecurity landscape.

Customers with Defender, Entra, or Purview enterprise licenses can now access the public preview of the AI Security Dashboard.
