CLOUD service providers AWS and Azure have both suffered outages – sparking chaos online.
According to Downdetector, the Amazon and Microsoft owned networks began experiencing problems at around 3.30pm, affecting Xbox and Minecraft players among others.
Users reported being unable to connect to the respective providers’ websites and apps.
The outage has caused a knock on effect, affecting platforms that rely on the respective networks for connectivity.
These include Microsoft 365, Outlook, Starbucks, Costco and Kroger.
Fuming users have flocked online to vent their frustrations.
One wrote: “First AWS, now Azure goes down. I love it when big companies own half the internet!!!”
It comes after dozens of games, apps and banks went down after a global outage on October 20.
Roblox gamers, Snapchat users and Halifax customers were among those battling to access platforms following a server outage at Amazon.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) allowed games and apps to rent servers without the need to buy physical computers or data centres.
Thousands of complaints had been registered across the UK and US.
