MILLIONS of Brits have lost access to a popular channel after 11 years.

The beloved movie channel is currently available on Freeview and Sky Movies and airs some of the best films in cinema history.

Great! Movies is known for broadcasting cinematic classics, including The Godfather and Back to the Future.

Normally, viewers only need a TV aerial to watch the channel, which was first launched in 2014.

However, on September 4, a major shakeup came to Great! Movies as it swapped places with another channel.

Now, the Great! Mystery channel has taken its place as free-to-watch viewing.

To continue watching Great! Movies, you will now need an aerial and broadband.

That means that Great! Mystery will now be broadcast on Channel 50 on Freeview boxes.

However, Great! Mystery and several of its sister channels have been confirmed to be getting a huge content boost to compensate for the change.

The news comes after Freeview, Sky and Virgin brought back a festival channel months ahead of Christmas.

Great! Christmas is back on our screens, despite Christmas Day taking place in 111 days.

Now, fans can watch their favourite holiday films months in advance.

Roku reveals brand new streaming stick TV device packed with free channels

The channel will replace Great! Romance for the rest of the year until early January.

Broadcasting began yesterday at 8am, with the romantic comedy Laughing All The Way.

Meanwhile, 40 new channels will be coming to a Fire Stick rival in a major upgrade.

Roku is rolling out FAST channels, Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV, which will be available 24/7.

The system will function similarly to traditional TV, with a scheduled list of programmes instead of viewers being able to pick from a range of shows.

Channels will also have adverts, so the service remains free.

However, the key difference between the FAST channels and traditional TV is that the Roku service is broadcast over the internet.

The new channels include PGA TOUR for golf fans, Unsolved Mysteries for true crime enthusiass and This Old House for DIY lovers.

Also, NatureTime will take viewers behind the scenes of wildlife shows.
