Recently, several users reported being unable to log into multiple NetEase games through Oppo’s channel servers. On Tuesday, Oppo customer service responded that due to the expiration of its cooperation with NetEase, several NetEase titles — including Fantasy Westward Journey, Sky: Children of the Light, and Justice Online — have been gradually shut down on the Oppo platform, with no plans for resumption at this time. Shutdown times vary by game, and Oppo has issued prior notifications. While NetEase has not released a unified statement, each game’s shutdown notice cited adjustments in joint operation strategies. This incident is believed to be linked to the high revenue-sharing model traditionally used in Android game distribution channels. Publishers such as NetEase are reportedly seeking to reduce reliance on such partners in order to improve profitability. [Jiemian, in Chinese]
