Even at that price, I called the Deebot X8 worth the premium. It’s an excellent robot vacuum and mop hybrid that vacuums well on carpet and hardwood, minimizes tangles with pet hair, and uses a new roller mop design effectively to scrub stains while limiting cross contamination. It’s also one of the best robot vacuums that we’ve tested at avoiding obstacles. When it’s done vacuuming, it returns to its base station where it empties its own dustbin, and washes and dries its own mop to prepare for the next run.
Given that the X8 sits at the top of our best list regardless of price, it’s well worth the splurge at the steep discount on Prime Day.
