Samsung might’ve been one of the first to jump on the foldable hype, but for the past few years, its foldables haven’t shone quite as brightly as Samsung might’ve liked – but that all changed with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, while not the very thinnest foldable on the market, remains my favourite foldable (and quite possibly non-foldable) of 2025 – and it’s 26% off at Amazon to celebrate Black Friday.
As part of the shopping bonanza that is Black Friday, Amazon has slashed the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 from £1,899 to just £1,399 – a massive £500 off. That’ll net you the mid-level 512GB option with an extended three-year warranty, and it’s available in Jet Black, Silver Shadow and my personal favourite Shadow Blue.

Save £500 on the fantastic Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
With £500 off the massive 512GB variant of the Z Fold 7 bringing it down to £1399, it makes an expensive phone much more tempting.

It’s still an expensive phone, no doubt, but it’s much cheaper than usual and represents its lowest price since launch in July.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is very much worth the discounted price too; it’s a fantastic big-screen foldable through and through.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 finally delivers the ultra-slim, lightweight foldable we’ve been waiting for, boasting significant design and camera upgrades that put it at the top of its class. While battery life and charging speeds could be better, its impressive screens, top-tier performance and refined software make it the best Galaxy Z Fold to date, and quite possibly one of the best foldables full stop.
-
Lightest book-style foldable around -
Ultra thin design makes it really nice to use -
Larger, wider, wholly more useful screens -
Same main camera as Galaxy S25 Ultra
-
Relatively small 4400mAh battery -
Slow 25W charging -
Zoom camera could be better for the price
It’s super thin at just 4.2mm thick unfolded and 8.9mm in its folded form, thinner than some regular bar phones, and at 215g, it’s not only the lightest foldable of the kind but lighter than Samsung’s own Galaxy S25 Ultra. It doesn’t feel like a foldable in the hand or in the pocket, and it makes that 8-inch internal foldable panel much easier to use as a result.
Speaking of, both the internal and external panels have had a makeover; a redesigned hinge massively reduces the crease on the internal screen, and the external screen is now a wider 21:9 panel, making it much more suited for regular phone use than previous Folds.
Camera performance is no longer an area where foldables like the Z Fold 7 have to compromise either; the foldable sports the same 200MP main camera as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, along with 3x telephoto and ultrawide snappers, along with not one but two 10MP selfie cameras – one on each display.
Performance is similarly top-notch thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, making the foldable well suited to both gaming and multitasking – and with extended DeX support as part of One UI 8, it very much excels at the latter. There’s also a smattering of AI features, including some of the best photo object removal tech available on any smartphone right now.

Battery life is finally good enough to comfortably last a day, and with 45W charging, it doesn’t take that long to fully recharge either – we’re talking 50% charge in 30 minutes here.
So, yes, it’s very much still a premium phone with a premium price tag, but with a massive £500 off and more storage than most users will ever need, the Z Fold 7 is the foldable deal I’d recommend to anyone this Black Friday.
