Nationale-Nederlandenspecialist in protection, savings and investment solutions of the NN Group, has appointed Javier Ferrer Deputy General Director and Chief Operations and Transformation Officer (COTO) of the company. In this position, Ferrer will be responsible for leading all areas of Operations, including Policy Administration, Quality and Customer Service.
In addition, Ferrer will also be responsible for the Claims teams and the Transformation Office. His appointment also implies his incorporation into the Management Committee, and he will report directly to Carlos González Perandones, CEO of the company.
The creation of this new position in the Management Committee is due to Nationale-Nederlanden’s commitment to strengthening its organizational model to achieve its integrated vision of operations and transformation, with excellence in customer service at the center of its strategy.
Ferrer’s profile, therefore, will allow us to accelerate process optimization, operational efficiency and continuous improvement of customer service. To do this, it will focus on the combination of the company’s technological, analytical and organizational capabilities.
With this step, the company also wants to promote a transversal approach that links strategy, processes and technology. This vision focuses on the value proposition and the operational perspective as the main lever for improving efficiency, service quality and people’s experience.
Javier Ferrer has extensive professional experience in the consulting and transformation sector. He began his career at KPMG and Unisys with his participation in strategic consulting, operational efficiency and technological transformation projects. Until his arrival at Nationale-Nederlanden in 2011, he has worked in different multinationals in the telecommunications, pharmaceutical, energy and insurance sectors.
When he joined the company, he joined its Portfolio Management Office (PMO), where he was in charge of different transformation initiatives. In 2020, he began a new stage in the NN Group from the Netherlands, responsible for promoting the creation of the Portfolio Management & Agile Center of Excellence, as well as different transformation offices in the business units in Europe and Japan. In addition, he has participated in projects of global scope. In 2023 he returned to Spain.
