Niri 25.05 is out today as the newest major step forward for this scrollable-tiling Wayland compositor that has developed a devoted following.
The Niri 25.05 scrollable-tiling Wayland compositor has added an “Overview” feature to zoom out of your workspaces and windows to see an overall state while still allowing pure keyboard-based navigation. A convenient feature now found on Niri.
Niri 25.05 also brings improvements to window management/controls, new screencasting features, windowed fullscreen support, enhancements to the Niri screenshot UI, IPC improvements, new input device settings, and a variety of other enhancements. There is also now more efficient offscreening for when rendering windows in offscreen mode.
